Integrity at Workplace

?One message that I always remember from my dad (he passed away 16 years ago) when I share my pain point in my first job is “Dudi, please remember this, don’t bite the hand that feeds you. You can complain about your job and your company, but your job is to help your organization and bring your organization to a better situation. You must play a role to bring a solution to any kind of situation related to your job. Remember, your company still pays your salary and treats you fairly to make your life, your wife and your kid have better conditions than us years ago. If you can’t make an impact and have no chance to help your organization, leave it. Find another one, I’m ok you share with me or someone close to you, but don’t burn the bridge by sharing negative things about your current company. This is INTEGRITY. You become a representative of the company, and your behavior is linked to its performance and its reputation. You must act with integrity in all business relationships.
?This message becomes one of my principles when I work in any organization. I can hate some people but not the company. It’s not fair if we blame the company based on some people who do not align with my principle.
?Integrity isn’t something that we can put on our resume, but for me, this is the most important principle in our life. Rather than a specific skill, integrity is a bundle of traits, including honesty and an ability to adhere to moral and ethical principles. When taken together, these traits show our quality as individuals. Integrity is internal. It’s our personal choice of how we want to behave – personally and professionally.
?Integrity begins with your individual choice to always act the right things with strong moral principles. You become an inspiration to people around you and put the confidence that the company has a strong commitment to applied integrity in business activities.

?I shared about trust in my last article. Trust is based on integrity. Integrity is the most important people quality to reach your great and successful career. Integrity attributes and other positive attributes will bring you to a better relationship at work.
?The next question is how if your organization does not perform and provide good habitat for integrity value? You know how to do, as my father said. If you can fix it, fix it… if not, leave it. Life is all about risk, but you must have principles. If you can’t leave the situation but still have a big belief in your organization, become a model of integrity in your workplace. You will set the tone for appropriate behavior across your organization.
