How important integrity is in driving business value?

As someone who has been managing diverse careers in procurement and supply chain for decades, as a business woman managing my mentoring business, I can say INTEGRITY is my number one value.

INTEGRITY is my non-negotiable value that has always brought me long term sustainable success.

And still, it's shocking to see so many celebrities trying to dissociate the person from the professional, leading their personal lives without integrity but coming in the public eye displaying integrity of knowledge. Can you really de-couple the person from the professional?

Personally, I have always chosen to speak up the truth and do what is right, although it made me unpopular at times or it felt very uncomfortable.

What I THINK, DO and FEEL are in full alignment.

That's integrity for me.

Question: In a very demanding supply chain, in a world which is so transactional, how important integrity is to drive business value?

Answer 1: Integrity is critical in supply chain as we are held accountable the way we have to do the communication with the production, the communication with suppliers, the way we have to do the negotiations, how we gain and improve supplier relationships. And personally it's important for me and to my team.(James Penn)

2?? Answer 2: Integrity is such a deep word, it starts from within, it's important for businesses to foster a culture where everyone thrive to show and act with integrity. If the culture is not right, you cannot be open and transparent as a leader. The customers and partner will see this .. If you are wrong and have the integrity to admit and take responsibility, you have then more chances for stronger partnerships than hiding things. (Nanda Kishore)

3?? Answer 3: Integrity is synonym with transparency and collaboration. Integrity is non-negotiable, it means transparency and credibility. As a leader you have to have integrity as you need to have those hard conversations with your teams and supply chain network. You are going to encounter hurdles and without integrity you cannot rally the team to drive business results. (Justin Konopaske)
