“As an executive from the private sector and now as Board Member in different continents, I've learned that only punishment might generate fear that paralyzes and repels investments. That’s why I believe that enforcement alone cannot create the ethical business environment we aspire to. Therefore, governments must create an environment where integrity is rewarded, and corruption is seen as not just illegal but fundamentally unprofitable”, she said.?
“This requires courage, not only from the governmental side, but also from the private side to incentivize integrity and anticorruption measures from within. Incentivizing private integrity is a forward-thinking long-term strategy that aligns the interests of businesses and society”, she finalized.??
