Integration of Marketing Cloud Personalization with Salesforce Interactions SDK Launcher

Salesforce Interactions SDK Launcher:?

The Salesforce Interactions SDK Launcher is a Google Chrome browser extension that includes the Visual Editor tool you use to add personalization features to your website. Using web campaign templates, you can create personalization campaigns targeted to specific groups, individual users, or events.

Steps to connect SDK launcher with Personalization:?

1. Remove any previously installed Evergage extensions, such as the Evergage Visual Editor and Evergage Launcher.
2. Open Google Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/.
3. Navigate to the Salesforce Interactions SDK Launcher Chrome store page.
4. Click Add to Chrome.

5. From the popup dialog that appears, click Add extension.

6. Now, check the Salesforce Interactions SDK launcher in the Extension of the browser by clicking the extension button.

7. Log in to Marketing Cloud Personalization.

8. Click the avatar icon at the top right and select Manage Datasets from the menu that appears.

9. Click +Dataset.

10. ?Enter a unique identifier, such as “demo,” in the ID field.

11. Enter a display name in the Name field, such as “Demo.”

12. Click OK.

13. Navigate to your website.

14. Click the Extensions icon in your browser’s toolbar and select Salesforce Interactions SDK Launcher.

15. “Salesforce Personalization &? CDP” appears in the Product Type dropdown. If it doesn’t, select it.

The dialog displays the following information for your website:

• Detected Beacon :?

?? ??A green check indicates that the Interaction Studio JavaScript Beacon is installed. The associated account, associated dataset, and beacon version appear below it.

• Account :?

The name of the account associated with the installed Interaction Studio JavaScript Beacon. Typically, your account name is your company or brand name.

Here are the steps we can check the Account name :?

• In the UI of Marketing Cloud Personalization. Hover the Web and then select the JavaScript Integration.?

• The word after the beacon keyword is the Account name.?

• Copy the Account name and paste it to the SDK.
• Dataset :?

The name of the dataset associated with the installed Interaction Studio JavaScript Beacon. You can have only one dataset for your account, or you can have multiple datasets. For example, you can have a dataset for different sites that are based on brand or geography. You can also have datasets for staging and production.

In the below image you can check the Dataset name.

16. If there’s an orange X next to the Detected Beacon, the Personalization JavaScript Beacon isn’t installed. To install it, follow these steps:?

• Enter the account name in the Account field.
• Enter the name of the dataset in the Dataset field.
• Turn on the Inject SDK option.
• Refresh the page.
• Click the Extensions icon in your browser’s toolbar and select Salesforce Interactions SDK Launcher.
• Confirm that a green check appears next to Detected Beacon, the correct account and dataset appear in the applicable fields, and the orange Injected indicator appears beside the beacon version.

17. Turn on the Visual Editor option.

18. List your website domains on the allowlist.

Note:? You can use the Visual Editor only with website domains that you include on the Allowed Domains list. If you don’t list your domains on the allow list, you can’t log in to the Visual Editor.
