Integrating Vibration into a Roller Conveyor

Integrating Vibration into a Roller Conveyor

Installing a vibration system for product settling or compaction into a roller conveying line can sometimes be a problem, but using an integrated method from Vibration Systems and Solutions can make this a simple operation.

The VSS method can be either built into your existing line or supplied as a separate unit, with either free-running or power-driven rollers.

The container is run onto the VSS rollers. Between the rollers are ‘fingers’ which lift on airbags to raise the container off the rollers. These fingers vibrate, the airbags lower the container back down, and the container continues down the line.

The vibrator can be either an electric vibrating motor or a pneumatic non-impacting model. The latter is an internal piston model and has a self-generated air cushion, so there is no metal-to-metal impact noise as with old-style knocker vibrators. Control can be manual or through your plc.
