Welcome to the latest edition of the Happy Well Being Life Newsletter!

In this newsletter edition, I want to dive into how wellbeing and spiritual wellness can guide you, particularly during career transitions, a topic I know many of us are navigating at this time. And share with you the healing energy of moon bathing, how to do it, it's ritual and a powerful affirmation to attract a new job or opportunity which gives you the abundance you may be seeking.

It’s been a hot minute since my last newsletter, and I’m so excited to reconnect with you, especially as we are in the midst of a powerful Super Full Moon Lunar Eclipse.

This particular eclipse, September 17th and 18th (See my footnote for the exact times in your location), brings with it the energy of introspection, deep emotions, and an invitation to face aspects of ourselves that may need healing. It feels like the perfect time to shoot off this newsletter, offering a moment to reflect, recharge, and realign with you on both our personal and professional journeys.

Since launching Happy Well Happy Well Being four months ago, I’ve noticed a growing interest in something very close to my heart, spiritual wellness and personal well being. It’s not new, it's not about religion nor is it a fad.

More and more people are recognising that nurturing the inner self is not just for personal growth but is essential in the workplace as well. The lines between who we are and what we do are blurring, and that’s a trend I’m seeing more frequently in conversations, questions, and even in corporate work.

As I reflect on the conversations I’ve had recently, it’s become even clearer that this movement toward integrating spiritual wellness into our working lives is a necessity. We are whole beings, and how we nurture our inner selves will always reflect in our outer lives and work.

In this current job market, where uncertainty? seems to dominate the conversations on LinkedIn as well, taking the time to cultivate spiritual wellness is one of the most powerful ways to stay balanced, resilient, and purposeful.

As we all step deeper into this new era of self-care, personal growth and wellbeing, it’s clear to me that we can no longer separate who we are from how we work or what we do.

What is Spiritual Wellness?

At its core meaning, spiritual wellness is about nurturing a deep connection with your inner self and aligning your actions with your values and purpose. It’s not tied to any particular culture or religion whatsoever, it’s about tuning into practices that nurture your self growth.?

As human beings we are all here on this planet for expansion in mind, body, and soul. Whether this is a conscious understanding or not. And through ancient wisdom practices such as meditation, mindfulness, journaling, or spending time in nature, spiritual wellness helps you stay grounded, centred, and connected to a sense of meaning in your life. No matter the chaos going outwardly.?

Especially in the times we have now, it is more valuable for you than ever to seek your strength from within, connect with like-minded people and discard anything that doesn’t resonate or makes you feel bad. Try not to listen to the daily news either.?

In recent years, during and since the pandemic, there has been a remarkable surge in interest around spiritual wellness. During the 2020-2022 music, meditation, and therapy app downloads skyrocketed, some by as much as 200%. Used by millions around the world, these apps support WFH mindfulness practices, and have become essential as part of a work and life balance wellbeing routine.??

In this edition, I want to dive into how spiritual wellness can guide you, particularly during career transitions; a topic I know many of us are navigating at this time.


Navigating Career Transitions with Spiritual Wellness

Career transitions, whether they’re planned or unexpected, often come with a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and stress. We’re asked to step out of our comfort zones, adapt to new roles, or maybe even redefine our purpose. It’s a journey that requires emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to stay grounded amidst change.

Spiritual wellness plays a vital role here. At its core, it’s about maintaining a deep connection to yourself, understanding your true values, and tapping into the practices that nurture your well-being. Whether it’s meditation, mindfulness, moon bathing, or simply taking time to reflect, these spiritual practices offer a sense of stability in times of uncertainty.

During a career transition, spiritual wellness can help you:

  • Stay grounded and clear-headed: Instead of being swept up by the stress and uncertainty, spiritual practices can help you stay centred, make clear decisions, and approach challenges with calm confidence.
  • Align with your purpose: Transitions offer a chance to re-evaluate your career path. Are you still aligned with your core values? Is this new direction reflective of your deeper aspirations? Tapping into spiritual practices can help you answer these questions with authenticity.
  • Embrace change as an opportunity: Rather than seeing transitions as obstacles, they can be moments of growth and new beginnings. Spiritual wellness allows you to shift your mindset, seeing the lessons in every challenge and opportunity.

Note: The Super Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on September 17-18, 2024 will be visible at different times depending on your location. This Eclipse energy lasts for six months. Here are the times for the penumbral lunar eclipse (when the Earth's outer shadow falls on the moon) for the UK/Europe and Eastern and Western US:

UK/Europe:

  • Begins: 9:15 PM (BST) on September 17th
  • Maximum Eclipse: 11:50 PM (BST) on September 17th
  • Ends: 2:25 AM (BST) on September 18th

Eastern US (ET):

  • Begins: 4:15 PM (ET) on September 17th
  • Maximum Eclipse: 6:50 PM (ET) on September 17th
  • Ends: 9:25 PM (ET) on September 17th

Western US (PT):

  • Begins: 1:15 PM (PT) on September 17th
  • Maximum Eclipse: 3:50 PM (PT) on September 17th
  • Ends: 6:25 PM (PT) on September 17th

This lunar eclipse is penumbral, meaning it may not be as visually striking as a total lunar eclipse, but the moon will appear slightly darker. It’s still a powerful time energetically for introspection and emotional balance!

Let the Power of the Moon Supercharge your Career or Job Search

With the job market and recruitment processes feeling scattered and a sense of scarcity is never good for anyone as it does not produce the jobs nor the opportunities. We need to turn this energy around. In times like these, prioritising emotional intelligence, well-being, and spiritual health is key to better mental health balance, not just for personal balance, but for professional success as well. If we’re not taking care of ourselves mentally and emotionally, it’s hard to thrive in any role, no matter how great the opportunity.

On my webzine Happy Well Being Life I explore the practice of moon bathing, a simple yet powerful way to bring calm and clarity into your life. By taking time to reconnect with nature and your inner self, you can navigate the chaos of the job market with more confidence.

There’s something undeniably calming about moonlight, no matter where you are in the world. Whether you’re gazing at it from a quiet beach, a bustling city rooftop, or even through your bedroom window, the moon has a way of casting its soothing light over everything. It wraps you in its soft glow, creating a sense of peace that feels almost otherworldly.

Personally, I’ve found that simply sitting in the moonlight, no matter what kind of day I’ve had, instantly makes me feel more grounded. The quiet, steady presence of the moon seems to slow down the noise in my head, helping me reconnect with myself. The stillness of the night, paired with the gentle light of the moon, encourages a kind of deep reflection that’s hard to find in our fast-paced, over-stimulated lives.

It's really simple. Strip down or wear a comfortable robe, step outside into the moonlight, and just bask. Leave your phone behind, and don’t take anyone with you. This is your time, just you and the Moon.

For extra Moon Power, write down with gratitude what you truly desire.

Whether it’s a new job, more opportunities for financial security, a career path that aligns with your true self, or just a general sense of stability, use this moment to focus on what you want.

Here’s an example for attracting a new job or opportunity: Say this outloud. Write it on a piece of paper. No Phones. It's going to be bright enough to read it!

"I am now so happy and grateful that I feel secure, appreciated, and recognised in my new role. I now have the financial security to make meaningful changes and embrace new opportunities for growth in my life, which bring me happiness, joy and contentment."

Keep the paper. Place it outside under the moon somewhere so it shines on your note, kiss it and say thank you, then go to bed. Notice I don’t mention money. Money is a frequency, an energy. It’s the feeling you want to give power to - what the new job or career opportunity can bring. Don’t focus on the money itself; focus on the feeling of abundance and the opportunities that will flow to you. That’s the frequency you want to align with.
