How can Intact have a lasting impact on our people, community, and the world?

We ask ourselves this question every day.?

At Intact, our North Star is our collective commitment to Doing the Right Thing—ensuring that everything we do is held to the highest ethical standards. That means supporting our people and communities, celebrating and growing with our people, and conserving our communities and planet.? Our North Star unifies our employees around a common mission, fostering a workplace culture that values accountability & integrity.?

It’s an increasing demand from top talent, our market and from the world of business broadly speaking:

  • PWC: 79% of millennials are willing to commit more to their employer when they feel their work has a positive impact on society
  • McKinsey: More than 90% of S&P 500 companies now publish ESG/Impact reports in some form
  • Bain: Beyond benefiting people and the planet, ESG/Impact measures correlate with financial performance

Our vision for social impact is to lead by example in fostering a welcoming, sustainable, and ethical business culture. By celebrating and empowering our team members, supporting our communities, and upholding our core values, we commit to creating positive, lasting change—catalyzing a better future for all.

Our impact work is grounded in three pillars: Community Engagement, Belonging, and Environmental Sustainability. At Intact, an important aspect of Belonging is celebrating our people through Intact Stories—features from our community that champion our diversity, culture, and values. We know that learning directly from others' experiences inspires growth.?

Impact In Action: Walking Together

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and Intact is committed to doing our part. This cause holds deep significance for many within the Intact community, especially those of us who have experienced the loss of loved ones to suicide. ? ?

For the third consecutive year, we are honored to participate in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Out of the Darkness Fairfax Walk on Sunday, September 29 in Fairfax, VA. Intact has supported AFSP, an organization?dedicated to raising awareness, providing critical support to those who are struggling, and helping families affected by suicide. CEO Jesse White shares, “The experience has been reflective, raw, and heart-opening—one that goes beyond just volunteering to truly make a difference.”

We believe in Gratitude & Kindness as our strategy for action because it results in improved satisfaction, increased loyalty, and deeper connection with all stakeholders.

Here are five key considerations, according to Random Acts of Kindness Foundation and Research.com, that contribute to our strategy...

  • Opportunity: The United States is experiencing a loneliness epidemic. Kindness is an antidote.??

  • Well Being: A single act of thoughtful gratitude produces an immediate 10% increase in happiness, and a 35% reduction in depressive symptoms.?

  • Productivity: Gratitude enhances productivity, increases retention, improves decision-making skills, and creates a sense of fulfillment.?

  • Purpose: The practice of gratitude in the workplace helps employees find meaning and purpose as a result of the genuine appreciation they receive from the work they do.?

  • Community Catalyst: Kindness is contagious, and it extends beyond the boundaries of the workplace. Team Members who experience kindness in their daily interactions are more likely to extend the same courtesy to coworkers, clients, and their community.??

Being named ServiceNow U.S. Federal Partner of the Year reflects our innovative, people-centric approach to government modernization. We prioritize the human element at every stage of our work, from aligning outcomes with employee needs to designing scalable solutions that evolve with the organization.

Case in point: our recent implementation for a large federal agency. In just seven months, we integrated HR, Workplace, and IT Service Management modules introducing 286 new services. Throughout the process we prioritized stakeholder involvement, from development to implementation. We developed comprehensive training and supported staff at every step, ensuring smooth adoption and realization of the new system's benefits.

This people-first approach not only streamlined operations, but it is projected to save $150 million over a decade, setting a new standard for federal digital transformation.
