Insurance Professional or Insurance Peddler?
Patrick Casale
Insurance Broker contracted around the United States offering health insurance coverage. I specialize in helping Small to Large Businesses attain quality affordable health insurance for their employees.
Isn't it interesting how some perceive the insurance professional as a peddler? I've always considered myself as the advocate for my clients. The professional that my clients rely on to guide them on which plan or policy best suits their needs.
When was the last time you saw a television commercial with the insurance agent trying to sell you a product at a reduce commission? How many commercials do we see daily about selling one's service for a fraction of what others in the same field charge? Better yet, have you ever heard about the class action lawsuits paying the consumers more than the attorney's?
True insurance professionals who estate plan must understand the tax laws inside and out or they can create a greater tax burden on their clients! They must understand the real value of uninsured and under insured coverage's for home owners and auto policies. How about which long term care policy that will work best when it's most needed! Who do you call to explain the difference between a deductible and a co-pay?
Sure they get paid commissions for the policies they sell! Have you ever needed insurance to pay any of your claims? Have you ever had a major medical claim that was over $100,000.00? Who did you call when you didn't understand what your responsibility was? On many occasions I have called hospitals on behalf of my clients to negotiate a more affordable outcome if they hadn't been insured at the time of hospitalization.
A true insurance professional can ensure that your responsibility is limited or that the claim is processed correctly. They can explain explain billed charges and contracted negotiated charges. What your responsibility should be, not what the billing claims you owe! Sounds very legal doesn't it? True insurance professionals actually are very much like an attorney when it comes to insurance contracts.
We all should be very cautious when our political leaders discount any true professional advocate and want to make laws they deem the solution without explanation! That's when we all get end up on the short end of very expensive procedure!
