What's going on in the UK Insurance Sector?
Aviva's Chief Executive, Amanda Blanc, has been honoured with a Damehood in the 2024 New Year Honours, recognising her contributions to business, gender equality, and environmental initiatives. Since leading Aviva in 2020, Blanc has notably addressed key industry issues, including promoting diversity and challenging sexism.
Her accolade, which includes the Industry Achiever Award from the Insurance Times Awards 2023, signifies a pivotal moment for leadership in insurance. For recruitment professionals and industry players, this highlights the importance of diverse, inclusive leadership and the role of advocacy in driving positive change within the sector.
Blanc's recognition is a clear indication of the evolving landscape in insurance, where leaders are celebrated not just for business success but also for their commitment to making a meaningful impact.
