Insulation class of actuated motors

Motors of motorized actuators like MOV feeding by 3-phase power supply voltage of 400 VAC should be insulated in accordance with IEC 60085 (or NEMA) class F or H. Furthermore, motors must be protected by three thermal monitoring devices such as thermostat protections. Insulation classes of motors are as per shown and specify the maximum temperature of winding based on maximum temperature rise, hot spot over temperature allowance and ambient temperature (normally 40 deg(C)). Class H is optional and is recommended where T4 class is possible due to hazardous area classification data. Class H is made up of high temperature and usable life time at this temperature.
