Late last week CloroxPro , the professional cleaning version of the Proctor & Gamble bleach products, launched CloroxPro HealthyClean Introduction to Healthcare. ?The microlearning module was designed for environmental service (EVS) managers and supervisors. It is part of CloroxPro HealthyClean?, an online learning platform about cleaning for health effectively, efficiently and safely.

The platform was created to address training gaps for professional cleaners in the healthcare sector.

The sector’s human resources issues were exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, but staffing shortages, employee burnout and high worker turnover have long been an issue in the industry. ?The challenges have reached a point that healthcare facilities need support to follow cleaning and disinfecting protocols to help prevent the spread of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) among other illness-causing pathogens.

The new course is 20 minutes in long and can be taken by itself or as part of the CloroxPro HealthyClean Certificate (non-accredited). While the training is meant for EVS managers and supervisors, other hospital, clinic and long term care staff will also benefit.
