Institution That Spreads Diabetes

Picture a lavish celebration, a triumphant moment for a company that has seemingly reached new heights. The room resonates with applause, and the air is thick with achievement. Yet, hidden beneath this veneer of success lies a disquieting reality – the troubling trend of valuing targets over ethical principles. It's a trend that casts a long shadow, influencing not only individuals but also permeating our society and corroding not just the core of professional integrity but also the health of individuals, stress, anger related issues, safety incidents, disturbed families and more. As we dig deeper, a crucial responsibility emerges: companies as not just profit hubs, but as vital educational institutions.

The Academic Gap

In India, academic institutions often leave young professionals with noticeable gaps. The classroom might not fully prepare them for the unpredictable world of work. Young professionals largely learn the ropes "on the job." The work culture and their seniors being the teachers. The learning in early years at work often overwrite the university education.

Shortcut Success: A Distorted View

Imagine young professionals witnessing success through sheer unsystematic hard work and unethical shortcuts. The race for goals often overshadows a more methodical approach. This experience warps their perception, leading them to believe that success necessitates the overwhelming hard work and unethical compromises over a scientific process. They learn long hours, 'hook or crook', 'jugaad' ways as integral part of processional life thereby overwriting their formal education. Most are compelled to believe that their formal education was useless.

Passing Down Values and the Harmful Consequences

Fast forward a few years, these once-young professionals ascend the ladder. They carry forward a legacy of unethical pressure. This mindset, when perpetuated, corrodes the essence of professional culture. It births a cycle of stress, strained families, societal discord, and health issues ranging from chronic stress to anger-related problems, deep rooted into the society over generations

Changing the Game

Breaking this cycle demands collective effort. Companies must embrace their role as true mentors. Ethical leadership should be seamlessly woven into the fabric of achievement that fosters the belief that adherence to the right process gives consistent results over relentless unsystematic hard work and unethical compromises. This transformation breeds a new generation of professionals who excel while upholding ethical principles and following the well designed processes.

Conclusion

As the applause subsides, remember the young professionals shaped by this relentless race. Let's reclaim our role as ethical mentors within the corporate realm. By integrating ethical practices into success, companies foster change. They construct a culture rooted in well-being, ethical leadership, and prosperity. Let's rewrite the script, building a future that values education, ethics, and a practical perspective on success.

I am on a mission to bridge the gap between academia and industry thereby enhancing the employability of our youth. I guide youngsters on the right work ethic and formulae for lasting success. Ping me if you'd like to join me in this noble cause.
