The ICAI Singapore Chapter thrives thanks to the dedication and hard work of its volunteers. These individuals play a crucial role in organizing events, managing logistics, and ensuring that the chapter’s activities run smoothly.
These volunteers, often working behind the scenes, are the backbone of the ICAI Singapore Chapter, contributing their time and skills to support the professional growth and camaraderie of its members.
Today we are introducing to you the Membership team for ICAI Singapore.
Darshak Raimangia – Management Committee Head for Membership
Darshak is qualified Chartered Accountants from India and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance from Mumbai University.? Darshak is also practicing organizational coaching and is accredited organizational coach, level 1 from IECL.? Darshak has experience of over two decades in finance function with core focus in transformations initiative like Outsourcing, setting up of Captive Center, Center of Excellence, Shared Services and implementation of financial systems.
Darshak is associated with ICAI Singapore Chapter since 2022 and is part of Managing Committee since 2023, focusing on Membership Support.? With the aim of helping all and spreading smiles, Darshak have always focused on areas to help our members.? Darshak was sub-committee head in 2023, historical year for ICAI SG Chapter as we achieved the milestone of 500+ members, to be recognized as Category 1 Chapter.
Over 17 years of experience, Darshak have built up a wealth of experience across variety finance disciplines which includes Accounting, Controls, FP&A, Sourcing & Procurement, Audits, Shared Service and Collection.? Currently working with FedEx as Managing Director – Accounting & Controls for Asia Pacific, Middle East, India and Africa region.? Previously Darshak have served in various leadership roles across Finance in Thailand as well as India. Darshak started his career with Deloitte in 2007 with Audit and Assurance before moving to Industry. Darshak is enjoying his stay in Singapore with his wife,daughter and Mom .? Outside office and ICAI SG Chapter (there is no time left ??), Darshak loves to spend time with family and reading books.
CA Sarita Agrawal – Sub Committee Head for Membership
CA Sarita Agrawal is a Chartered Accountant from India, holding additional qualifications as a Company Secretary, Associate ISCA, and an IFRS certification from ICAI. Hailing from a small town, she faced significant challenges while pursuing the CA course. However, her determination and belief in the power of hard work and karma enabled her to achieve her goals. She firmly believes in the adage: "????????? ??? ???????? ?????? ??????????" (There is nothing unattainable to the one who has courage and who works hard).
Currently serving as a Finance Manager at a shipping company in Singapore, she brings over 12 years of extensive experience spanning both government and private sectors across diverse industries. Her expertise includes financial management, preparation of annual reports, trade finance, and working capital management. She also led due diligence for fundraising during her tenure with a startup in Singapore. Furthermore, she was a key member of the IPO team for Coal India Ltd., managing RHP preparation and listing compliance.
Since joining the ICAI Singapore Chapter in 2023, she has been an active volunteer on the Membership Sub-Committee, significantly contributing to the chapter's membership growth and helping it achieve the prestigious Category 1 designation. In 2024, she assumed a leadership role as the head of the Membership Sub-Committee. Additionally, she has volunteered for the Social Events and Training Sub-Committees. She expresses heartfelt gratitude for the support and encouragement she has received from fellow members and chapter leaders and remains committed to further contributing to the chapter’s success.
Beyond her professional endeavours, she has a keen interest in astrology, Indian mythology, and history, with a desire to study the Vedic literature of India. Looking ahead, she aspires to give back to society by working toward the betterment of underprivileged children.

Bengaluru Tech Summit
The ICAI Singapore Chapter had the pleasure of attending a well-organized precursor event to the upcoming Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS). Dr. Ekroop Caur, Secretary, Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, GoK, shared impressive insights on Bengaluru and Karnataka’s growth as a global tech hub.
Key highlights from the event:
? Karnataka is home to 875+ GCC units, including 750 multinational companies.
? The state boasts over 15,000 startups and is a leader in innovation and R&D.
? 40% of India’s total software exports come from Karnataka.
? A thriving workforce of 1.2 million professionals, supported by prestigious institutions such as IISc, IIT, and IIM.
HE HCI Singapore ,Dr. Shilpak Ambule further emphasized the India-Singapore strategic partnership, focusing on collaboration in sectors like semiconductors and life sciences.
The event was well attended by esteemed members of TiE, IIM, and various industry leaders.

Instructive and informative event on "Balancing Integrity and Success: The role of Ethics in Professional life"
The ICAI Singapore Chapter along with Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants organized a truly instructive and informative event on "Balancing Integrity and Success:The role of Ethics in Professional life", offering valuable insights to our members and emphasised on the importance of Professional Ethics on October 9, 2024.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed presentation by SGX List Co. on the wide range of activities conducted by them and presentation by Ms.Suat Lay Soh and her team on the pathways to ISCA.
It was followed by an interesting and informative exchange of views on Professional Ethics and Code of conduct by eminent panelists Ms.Caroline Lee(Past Deputy Chair and Board Member IESBA;Past chair Singapore POAC), Ms.June Sim(Managing Director and Head- Listing Compliance, Singapore Listing Regulation (SGRegCo.) and Mr.Sanjeev Gathani(Founder and CEO, Better Business Governance BBG, APAC Pte. Ltd.). The panel discussion was moderated by CA.Nishant Kumar Surana.
The event concluded with an evening of networking and delightful dinner, offering attendees a chance to connect and unwind.
Talk about Unbound - Breaking Boundaries
?The ICAI Singapore Chapter organised a talk on theme that resonate deeply in our modern world - "Unbound - Breaking Boundaries"?? ?We were privileged to have with us three extraordinary personalities to inspire our audience: 1. CA. IRS Sarika Jain, (CA), Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai 2. CA. Kumuda Krovvidi, Artistic Director, Arts Educator & Artist Founder, Kriti Arts Ltd.?and 3. CA. Shivani Shah Agarwalla, 5 time World Champion in Kettlebell Sports and TEDx speaker ?The speakers shared their stories of resilience, grit and journey and how they never gave up and which ultimately resulted in reaching where they are! And how the journey is still continuing and how they keep on overcoming formidable challenges ??♂and defying conventional expectations.?? ?The speakers reminded the participants that “one must be resilient in the face of challenges, creative in our approaches, and courageous in our pursuits. Together with our perseverance, we can break boundaries and achieve excellence.” The talk was well moderated by our Chapter Vice Chairperson, CA. Anuradha Shroff.?? ?Networking dinner followed where attendees had time to connect and unwind.?
