Deepavali Gala 2024 :
ICAI Singapore Chapter hosted its much anticipated Deepavali Gala 2024 on 10th Nov’24 at Shangri-La Hotel’s Tower Ballroom.
The event was graced by Guest of Honour, His Excellency Dr. Shilpak Ambule, High Commissioner of India to Singapore. The event was also well attended by many dignitaries from Singapore business, professional and academic circles.
In his welcome address, Chairman CA. Nishant Kumar Surana stressed that while Deepavali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair; but for us at the Chapter it also symbolises the spirit of togetherness. It’s a time when our families come together, when we reconnect with friends at social setting, and when our communities bond over shared traditions!
The event brought together members and their families for an evening filled with joy, entertainment, and festive cheer. The gala opened with vibrant singing and dancing performances by members and their families, showcasing their incredible talent and creating a warm, celebratory atmosphere.
During the delightful dinner, guests were entertained by a mesmerizing magic show , adding a touch of wonder and excitement to the evening. The magician's tricks captivated the audience, leaving both children and adults in awe as laughter and applause echoed throughout the venue.
The night reached its peak with a live performance by renowned singer Amit Dhamelia , whose soulful voice and infectious energy had everyone on their feet, dancing to his tunes. His performance turned the gala into a lively celebration, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of Diwali.
Adding to the fun were interactive elements like a photo booth and a 360-degree spinning video camera , allowing attendees to capture their festive moments in style.
The Deepavali Gala’24 was a resounding success, bringing the ICAI Singapore community closer together ?in celebration of the festival of lights.

The International Session on Business Opportunities in Odisha
ICAI Singapore Chapter had the pleasure to be part of the event -the International Session on Business Opportunities in Odisha, Singapore. The event was organised by the High Commission of India in Singapore and FICCI on 19 Nov’24 at the Tower Ballroom, Shangri-La.
A high-level delegation from Odisha, led by Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister, and comprising senior government officials and industry representatives, visited Singapore from November 17 to 20, 2024. The visit aimed to strengthen economic ties and establish long-term partnerships with Singapore’s business community. It also served as a precursor to the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, scheduled for January 28-29 in Bhubaneswar.
The session highlighted abundant investment opportunities in Odisha across sectors such as coal, mining, renewable energy, manufacturing, IT, semiconductors, textiles, and more. Singaporean companies were invited to invest, with an emphasis on long-term benefits. The Odisha government assured comprehensive support and emphasized its commitment to facilitating ease of doing business.
The event concluded with a networking dinner, offering participants an excellent platform to interact with the delegation and fellow attendees. It provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, explore collaborations, and strengthen connections between Singapore’s business leaders and Odisha’s representatives
Business Leaders Forum 2024: Uniting Leaders to Invest in India!
The ICAI Singapore Chapter hosted the prestigious Business Leaders Forum 2024, bringing together + business leaders, experts, and dignitaries to explore Invest in India.
The event began with networking , ICAI Motto Song , the lamp-lighting ceremony and welcome address by Chapter Chairperson CA. Nishant Kumar Surana.
