?? Are You a “Desk Dave”? Feeling low on energy, sluggish, not quite like your old self? You’re not alone. This page will give you direction to avoid it.
It feels a bit like the start of Covid mixed with Hurricane Bawbag.
Remember those days?
Weights cost a fortune. People pre-ordering 4kg Kettle bells...
Bike sales went up by 1000% and bike usage stayed the same...
Wetherspoons was selling £2 meals. Everyone was playing games like Bongo’s Bingo at home. Life was weird, but somehow, we made it work.
Now, here we are again. A red weather warning. Stuck inside. The fridge right there. Snacks calling your name.
The truth is, it’s not just about snacks. It never is. It’s about stress, boredom, and trying to feel better.
And I’m not going to tell you the same old stuff:
You’ve heard that a million times. Instead, let’s talk about why you snack.
Ask yourself:
Let me tell you about one of my clients, Mr Bean (not his real name).
He was frustrated. He told me, “I can’t stop snacking.” We tried eating bigger meals. We added protein. But he kept snacking.
When we looked deeper, we realised something: it wasn’t hunger. Snacks were how he dealt with stress. After a hard day, the food made him feel calm.
The problem wasn’t the food. The problem was the stress.
Here’s what we did:
It didn’t happen right away. But over time, Mr Bean stopped seeing snacks as the enemy. They became something he could enjoy, not something to rely on.
Why Do We Snack?
Snacking isn’t just about food. It’s about how we feel. Sometimes we’re bored, lonely, or stressed, and snacks feel like an easy fix.
But they don’t really fix anything. They just cover it up.
So next time you want a snack, stop and ask yourself: What do I really need? Maybe you need to move your body. Maybe you need to rest. Maybe you just need a break.
Snacks aren’t bad. Ignoring how you feel is.
Here's the big insight shift i want you to take away from this..
What if i can turn snacking into something that makes me feel good and better , how would that help me lose weight?
and also remember it's fine to snack we all day do it but if it's a constant and its pulling you away from whatever your goals are then there needs to be changes...
Also please don't got a 10 minute walk after you eat a snickers bar , you might fly away!
