The truck parking shortage is one of the few industry issues that seemingly all parties agree upon. An often-cited stat says that there is one parking space for every eleven trucks on the road. This shortage frequently leaves drivers ending their day spending their valuable time looking for a parking space.
Historically, the solution to this problem has been to build more parking. Funding for new builds has come from private businesses and the government. But there are obvious limitations to this approach. 1) It takes a long time, with projects often taking years to complete and 2) it costs a lot of money, oftentimes $100,000-$200,000 per space when all is said and done. Despite these limitations, new construction projects are important and a critical part of the solution to the shortage; however, we believe that there is more that can be done.
Truck Parking Club aims to be part of the solution to the truck parking shortage by connecting drivers looking for hourly, daily, weekly or monthly truck parking with property owners who have available truck parking spaces that were, oftentimes, not previously used for truck parking. By tapping into existing, underutilized real estate, we're quickly expanding parking options without the need for costly new construction or navigating complex regulations. With over 570 locations across the U.S. and over 15,000 parking spaces, Truck Parking Club has parking options for drivers nationwide.
