Installing the Pentax Variable ND Filter on the K-3 III Monochrome

Today we’re installing the new Variable Neutral Density software filter on the Pentax K-3 III Monochrome. That requires the latest version of the firmware, so we’re doing a firmware update first so you can see the process, then installing the Variable Neutral Density filter. Variable ND filters allow you to effectively expose parts of your image separately, so you can, say, make clouds pop while still getting good foreground detail.
