For installer ,how to choose O ring materials for stainless steel press fittings?

Stainless steel press fittings are an essential component in plumbing systems, providing a secure, leak-free connection.

However, the material is not the only factor that determines the effectiveness of the fittings.

The choice of sealing ring material is equally important.

Our press fittings come with O ring made from three different materials - black EPDM, yellow HNBR, and green FKM. Each material has unique properties and is suitable for specific applications.

1. Black EPDM O ring are compliant with EN681 standards and are best suited for Drinking water, Rainwater,Heating and cooling, Fire fighting , Steam, Compressed air, and Inert gases ect. These rings can withstand temperatures as low as -20°C and as high as +120°C and have a maximum pressure of 16bar.
2. Green FKM O ring are also compliant with EN681 standards and are ideal for Solar , Oil, and Fuel, and so on . These rings can handle temperatures ranging from -20°C to 200°C and have a maximum pressure of 16bar.
3. Yellow HNBR O ring comply with EN549 standards and are designed for gas pipes carrying corrosive gases like Natural gas, Methane, and Liquid gas. These rings can withstand temperatures ranging from -20°C to +95°C and have a maximum pressure of 6bar.
