Installed to the Living Room of a Newly Refurbished Family Home in Hove is our Tumbled Rustic Oak Parquet Blocks.
The parquet blocks have been fitted above a plywood subfloor which meets the height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm under a 3m straight edge. Each block has been fitted tounge to groove whilst adhered to the plywood subfloor using Sika T54 Parquet Adhesive.
Prior to the fields installation a parquet spine was left to adhere to the plywood subfloor to provide a fixed line to work off from. Whilst the field of the flooring was being laid a two block width from the walls was reserved for a traditional two block border installation.
Once the entire floor had been laid the blocks were hand sanded on site whilst solid oak flatplates were fixed to the perimeter of the fireplace and to where the flooring meets the conservatory doors.
The installation was complete following a prime coat of Bona Mega Matt before two coats of Bona Traffic HD Matt.
