The installation process of Cathay Pacific'c new safety training devices is proceeding well and are starting to take shape in the Cathay Pacific Flight Training Centre in Hong Kong.
Earlier in the week, the installation of the air conditioning ducting being carried out on the A330 Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainer (CEET) with the process yet to start on B777 CEET.
The interior of the B777 CEET with the deployment of oxygen masks being tested for simulated cabin depressurisation.
The interior and the instructor operating station "hidden" within the galley at the front of the B777 CEET cabin.
The interior of the A330 CEET with the instructor operating station at the rear of the cabin.
Slightly darkened cabin with the visual system (Sceptre Lite) being tested for simulated cruise conditions.
It's all in the detail and everything has to be tested to ensure that it is representative of the real aircraft. One of the EDM team members obviously happy the the cabin interphone chimes match the requirements - nice thumbs up!
The B747 Freighter Upper Deck Crew Service Door training device sat waiting to undergo the site acceptance test.
David Lomax - thank you. I was discussing this with Nigel when we met recently, its a stunning piece of equipment that EDM produce and I suspect it gives you a significant competitive edge in terms of staff training in both normal & exceptional situation management.....and I bet its fun to play in too!
Nigel Spring is this the one that goes in through the window of the "sky-scraper"?
