1. Instagram tests Group pages 'Communities'
Instagram is currently resting Group Profiles, which will allow multiple users to share their content in one place. According to Meta, the new group profiles need their own name and profile image along with their respective description so that Instagram users can register as members or administrators of the content that can be public or private. 2. TikTok hiring for fulfillment warehouse roles
TikTok is seemingly looking to create a new logistics and warehousing network in the United States to support its e-commerce efforts. TikTok already offers TikTok Shop in the UK and Indonesia, but this expansion aims to provide logistical support to build what it calls “a brand new and better e-commerce experience.” (Via CNN)
3. Brands heading onto BeReal whether they like it or not
BeReal took social media users by storm, and brands have noticed. While some like E.l.f Cosmetics and Chipotle are already on the platform, we wonder what the future of marketing on the platform will be. Currently, ads aren’t available on BeReal. However, that’s part of the platform’s appeal—it’s a place where users are real with their friends. But as it grows in popularity, brands will become hungrier and hungrier for a piece of BeReal’s pie. (Via Gizmodo)
