What is an Instagram story?
Instagram stories allow users to show temporary pieces of content for 24 hours per slide. They showcase up to 15 seconds of content per slide, it is basically in complete competition with Snapchat. Your Instagram story, once posted, stays live for 24 hours, you can add it to a highlights section on your profile, otherwise it will be deleted.

The best part of Instagram stories is that you can add a call to action really easily using the ‘link button’ feature. For example you could repost a property tour reel to your story with a button leading to the full property tour on Youtube.

Posting length and posting consistency
Posting a story should be efficient and really quick (under 2 minutes per story). You ideally should be posting 5+ stories per day. The goal is to whip out your phone and film what you are doing.
Creating highlights
Instagram stories are temporary and only last for 24 hours, however you can create multiple, categorised story highlights on your profile. These highlights will keep your stories on your profile permanently.?
To add a story to your highlight, first you need to post the story and then click the highlights button and proceed to select which highlight you want to add it to.
When naming highlights, think of what is most useful for your audience.
