Instagram is slowly dying…??

Instagram is already last on the list, when people are asked which social media platform they prefer the most, globally. There’s quite a few reasons for this!

Let’s unpack it together -

?? Millennials and Gen-Z are together in this battle against Instagram

Why? ??

Because both are strongly opposed to online bullying and harassment, neither like excessive advertisements while they’re scrolling idly through the app, and both want end-to-end encryption.?

So why would they download an app that presents them with all of this? ??

?? Photo-first platforms don’t work anymore

Millennials helped Instagram build its path to fame. But, Millennials are all grown up, now. Having a feed full of pictures that’s JUST about your world is, well, too self-centric.?

People want a platform that’s dedicated to teaching, learning and informing!

?? The ‘Influencer’ game is over

People don’t put ‘Influencers’ on the same pedestal they used to. Instagram merely consists of a set of perfectly curated pictures that is meant to be appealing to the eye. However, everyone is slowly realising that Instagram is not what it used to be. People want to see real, raw and unfiltered content, which is exactly the kind of thing Instagram doesn’t reward. ??

With the slow death of the ‘Influencer’ era, and with the world opening up to other social media platforms, Instagram is slowly becoming less relevant everyday, and we think it might be for the good.
