After her time at university, transitioning into the big wild world of marketing, as Hannah refers to it, opened her up to the wonderful truth that marketing is in fact multi-faceted. She started her first role as a marketing assistant in a business coaching company. And it was through working in various roles and facing hardships that she was able to identify her place in marketing.?
Hannah advises that mistakes are much more than just a mistake, and that there is always something to learn from them

“Every obstacle is a learning curve, going forward, you know what to look for and what to avoid within a marketing role, the best mindset is to always think positive and understand this is part of growing as a marketer.”
To ensure that she is becoming her best self, Hannah routinely ensures that she takes a break and evaluates her life, ensuring that she’s taking the necessary steps in developing her career whilst also enjoying the journey.?
“I know I may not always be right but shying away is going against what I believe in and my development as a woman.”
Working in companies, where all higher management have been male-dominated had initially made it undesirable for Hannah to progress to a higher level. As a young woman she had been overlooked and not taken seriously. Hannah admitted that while she made the mistake of allowing people to pay no attention to her ideas in work-environments, she has since rectified that acknowledging that she has developed her own voice over the years and that she must state her ideas and thoughts of the business.
By sharing your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, you are expressing who you are and what you stand for. It helps you clarify your own ideas and values, and also allows others to get to know you better.
