Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders: The Success of 'Heta Surakina Ape Lamai'

The 'Heta Surakina Ape Lamai' Inter School LPG Oratory & Quiz Competition, launched in 2023, marked a significant milestone in promoting education, awareness, and sustainability. With the participation of 268 schools across all 9 provinces, this program served as a platform for young voices to champion the benefits of LPG and advocate for safer cooking practices.

The key objectives of this initiative included:

• To Increase the brand awareness within the community.
• To Dispel the misconception about the use of LP gas prevalent in the community.
• To Educate the students, teachers, and their families about safe cooking.
• To Disseminate safety messages to the community through school students.
• To use this platform to enhance the students’ confidence, skills, and knowledge.

The program’s success was evident in the enthusiasm of the participants, who not only showcased their knowledge but also inspired their communities to embrace cleaner, safer energy alternatives.

Expanding the Impact in 2024

Encouraged by the remarkable outcome of the inaugural phase, we are excited to continue the journey in 2024. This year, the competition will reach even more schools, expanding to an additional 164 schools island-wide.

The students' passion and dedication in the 2023 competition were truly inspiring, as they confidently articulated key messages about the safe use of LP Gas and sustainability. Their commitment to learning and advocating for change underscores the importance of investing in the next generation as ambassadors of clean energy.
