Inspiring School Leader Conference

Inspiring School Leader Conference

Speaker Announcement

Introducing: Ollie Frith

Having worked in a multitude of educational settings, with a whole range of different learners; from the highly motivated to the most challenging and layered students, Ollie has always continued to develop work in independent learning as well as student engagement. He has spent over 15 years working in challenging schools developing approaches to improve the way adults communicate with learners. Ollie now works for Crisis Prevention, an organisation that helps to train staff in crisis reduction, creating a safer workplace.?

?

Ollie will be talking about: Pride, Belonging and Accountability

‘A truly great school is a school that can succeed with all learners, not just the well-mannered ones.’

An effective school culture is not skills led. Neither is it imported with ‘magic’ systems, bought with data tracking software or instantly achieved by screaming ‘no excuses’. In getting the culture right, enabling a deep sense of connection and belonging is essential. With the culture right, the strategies that are used become less important. The culture is set by the way that the adults behave. Ollie will demonstrate the power of agreed changes in adult behaviour and challenge you to examine your own school culture and approach.

?
