Meghana Mantha, an inspiring 18-year-old young achiever, believes that "failure is the road to success, and if you have learned from defeat, you haven’t really lost". From launching her first initiative at 13 and failing within two weeks to working at three nonprofits and two tech startups, she is now the founder and CEO of Teen Chapter, a media platform and community for teens! They feature teens' inspiring stories and teen entrepreneurs on all 5 platforms of TC for free! They provide mentorship services, resources, networks, and programs for teen entrepreneurs and are on their way to building one of the world's largest and most vibrant teen communities. They currently have 400+ members in their community, feature 15+ teen startups, and co-hosted and conducted the Global Entrepreneurship Conference 2022 with 100+ members.
She is currently in her second year of a bachelor's degree program in economics. The young girl also tends to have an interest in politics and business.
Let's Know more about her journey:
What was your inspiration for launching TEEN CHAPTER with the mission and vision behind it?
"I always wanted to start something of my own, and my dad is my major inspiration. Then I started my first initiative, Global Seven, which failed within two weeks. Then I realized I could not just start something because I wanted to. I need experience. So I worked with three American youth-led organizations and gained experience in the fields of research, content, and marketing. During that time period, I observed that many youth-led organizations weren't getting opportunities to talk about themselves. This made me inspired to work for all teenagers and youth who are trying to create an impact. And I wanted to showcase their talents and everything. Which led to the launch of TEEN CHAPTER. "
"OUR VISION IS TO REACH OUT TO AS MANY TEEN STARTUPS AND YOUTH-LED ORGANIZATIONS AS POSSIBLE TO HIGHLIGHT AND COVER THE WORK THEY ARE DOING FOR THE BETTERMENT OF SOCIETY."?
She strongly mentioned
“Our Vision is to be a one stop platform suitable for every teen interested in Entrepreneurship, creating impact and making meaningful connections. We aim to build a vibrant, inclusive and an entrepreneurial community filled with opportunities, conversations and learning!”
??
With starting any startup a lot of responsibility comes in hand and being a student how do you manage between studies and workload?
Meghana tries to strike a balance between her academics and the work of Teen Chapter, and she believes that education is equally important."I utilize my holidays; whenever I don’t have exams in the initial month, I make the best use of them and try to finish a lot of work that is related to Teen Chapter, and when I have my exams, I make sure that my complete focus is on my exam and take a break from Teen Chapter."
She also mentioned, "There are times when I burn out and I take breaks, which I feel is completely okay, like when I took a 2-month break recently because it gets hard to focus on something for too long."??
You have been chosen as one of the Raw Stories Speakers to share your life journey with The Half Brick for their upcoming event. So, how do you feel about this opportunity?
?It’s her first offline event as a speaker, and she feels very appreciative.?
"Coming from a city like Vishakapatam, my hometown, where people are not really into entrepreneurship, and even if you are, you won’t get a lot of opportunities, and being a woman from an orthodox family is even harder, so it feels great. I am very excited, kind of nervous, because it’s my first offline event, "she said.

TEEN CHAPTER also hosted the "GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONFERENCE" on May 6, 2022, which was a huge success; would you like to share your experience?
"I wanted to do something for teens. So I contacted Palakh Khanna, CEO of Break. the ice and told her about my idea. In a few weeks' time, we divided the work. The best part was that we were both able to combine our skills and find the right people. New organizations came to the platform and started talking about the impact they were creating. One thing I learned was to always be open to collaboration, which is super important. I also learned how to coordinate with different people". She said
She also mentioned that, following the success of the GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONFERENCE, they are planning GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONFERENCE 2.0.?
WHILE COMMUNICATING WITH US MEGHANA THREW LIGHT UPON THE ISSUES FACED BY TEENAGERS BECAUSE OF THEIR BACKGROUND, STATUS, EDUCATION, AND GENDER INEQUALITY WHICH LED THEM NOT GET OPPORTUNITIES OR BEING PRESSURIZED TO FOLLOW A CAREER THEY ARE NOT PASSIONATE ABOUT.?
“ONE OF MY FEMALE FRIENDS GOT MARRIED AFTER CLASS 10 AND NOW HAS A 3-YEAR-OLD CHILD. SO IMAGINE THEY DON’T HAVE TIME TO PURSUE A HOBBY. HOW WILL THEY DO ALL STARTUPS AND EVERYTHING? ”
MEGHANA BELIEVES THAT IT’S LIKE AN INBUILT ISSUE IN THE SOCIETY THAT CANNOT BE ERASED BUT CAN BE ADDRESSED AND CAN BE REDUCED.
You tend to invite inspiring entrepreneurs to your channel, Teen Chapter. So, is there any message you would share with us that you have learned through them?
Meghana shares an important message. "Today’s generation wants to achieve everything. They want to do a lot of stuff. But doing everything that everyone is doing will impact you so much, in a good and a bad way. So it's important to make informed choices."
Meghana also shares
"Have a good education, finish your university, then do something because it will be a safety net for you and something to look back on or rely on.?
If you are doing some other activities or hobbies, take them slightly seriously and pursue them with a long-term goal. If studies don't work for you, you can try making a career out of your hobby."?Article by: Shaurya Singh
