This mutual fund turns Rs 10,000 SIP into Rs 1.14 crore in 23 years

Since its inception on April 25, 2000, Aditya Birla Sun Life Balanced Advantage Fund has registered a 9.16 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR). The value of Rs 10,000 via Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) became Rs 1.14 crore in the last 23 years, the fund house said in a statement.

Aditya Birla Sun Life Balanced Advantage Fund is an open-ended dynamic asset allocation fund. This is a kind of hybrid fund, which changes its asset allocation i.e. equity and fixed income allocations, dynamically according to market conditions.

4 out of 10 students in Kota struggling with depression, mental wellness startup Lissun survey finds

A substantial proportion of students in Kota (Rajasthan), which is India’s hotbed for competitive exam preparation, are suffering from mental health issues, as per a Lissun survey.

Over 600 students in the ‘Learning Factory Of India’ attended a mental health awareness camp at a mall — four out of 10 participants were found to be struggling with depression. Lissun’s team of mental health experts, who conducted one-on-one diagnoses on each student, also found that eight out of 10 students surveyed were gripped by anxiety and stress.

US cybersecurity firm fires 50 employees after lavish party with branded drinks

Bishop Fox , a US-based cybersecurity company laid off nearly 50 employees, approximately 13 percent of its workforce. This news emerged just days after Bishop Fox hosted a party at the RSA cybersecurity conference, where it served branded drinks, according to a TechCrunch report.

The company has not revealed how much it spent on the RSA party. As per the report, a spokesperson for Bishop Fox, Kevin Kosh, said the company had pre-booked an event space at the RSA cybersecurity conference many months before the actual event. The primary motive behind this booking was to host a day-long livestream event to promote engagement and knowledge sharing within the wider community.

Electoral bond sales soar before Karnataka Assembly polls, SBI sells bonds worth Rs 970.50 crore

The?State Bank of India?(SBI) has sold electoral bonds worth Rs 970.50 crore during the 26th edition of the bond sale in April as Karnataka gears up for Assembly elections. This amount is almost nine times the value of bonds sold before the previous state polls in 2018, The Indian Express reported, quoting information obtained through RTI by transparency activist Commodore Lokesh Batra.

According to the bank's response to RTI queries, out of the 1,470 electoral bonds sold between April 3 and April 12, 2023, all were encashed except that amounting to Rs 15 lakh.
