It is my honour and pleasure to introduce you to Mallory Yawnghwe, Founder and CEO of Indigenous Box Inc.

Last Spring, I learned about Indigenous Box through social media and a Global News story. The company's first subscription was a massive hit and, because they were sold out online, we weren't able to order one. In a relentless search online, I connected with Mallory to see how she could order a box. At the same time as we were searching for a box, Mallory was searching for an accounting team to support her newly incorporated business - and a partnership between MOD and Indigenous Box was formed!

Working with Mallory and her team is inspiring. She is a change making business leader, elevating voices in the Indigenous community through every aspect of their business. She inspires us in how she develops and grows meaningful, long-term relationships, builds a sustainable company, and supports her community. Mallory is an expert in supply chain management and is highly attuned to her business environment and opportunities. She is a brilliant and remarkable human who is truly changing the world. We are grateful to play a small role in her entrepreneurial journey!??

Mallory Yawnghwe is nehiyaw iskwew from the Saddle Lake Cree Nation in North Eastern Alberta. She is a graduate of MacEwan University’s School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management and candidate for the Supply Chain Management Professional designation. Mallory is currently working towards the completion of an Executive MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership at SFU’s Beedie School of Business.

Mallory thrives on challenge and is driven to overcome her fear of the unknown to make a difference in this world. Sometimes accused of being overly optimistic, Mallory has used her positive attitude, humility, and perseverance, to grow into a respected Supply Chain professional, independent business and community consultant, educational facilitator, and entrepreneur. Her commitment to professionalism, ethics, and high standards in her work have already made her a stand-out in her fields. Most recently, she has taken a big leap into the role of President and CEO of her new start up Indigenous Box Inc.

With Indigenous Box, Mallory's goal has always been to create an exciting and personal experience for her customers. Created with her customers in mind, each box is for Indigenous people to see themselves in, but also from Indigenous people for anyone to enjoy. Above all she wants Indigenous women like her to feel that they are having a VIP experience when they open their own Indigenous Box.

Mallory operates Indigenous Box from amiskwaciwaskahikan (Edmonton) with the help of her husband Khamserk and her daughters.
