Inspired at Unite 2017

As I sat and listened to Shopify's CEO Tobi’s Shopify Unite keynote I couldn’t help but feel like his vision and goals aligned perfectly with ours. teelaunch is never going to be at its its full potential until we bend the learning curve down of entrepreneurship until its flat. We need to make the ONLY requirement for starting a business on Shopify to be a good idea. Right now you need a good idea AND the ability to create and ship that good idea.

teelaunch is more than just an app that allows you to print shirts. teelaunch was born out of a desire to enable entrepreneurs to create (and sustain) businesses where they might not have been able to before. While Shopify and other app developers are doing great things to make the process of running an online business easier, no one is truly looking for ways to make creating products easier. 

At the end of the day you can have a easy to use, highly converting website but without a constant stream of products that you can offer to your customers at prices they are willing to pay and with enough of a margin to allow you to run your business, none of this matters.

Since teelaunch began roughly 21 months ago, our teelaunch customers have sold over $60M worth of product. A small minority of them could have done this in a traditional way. Thinking up the designs, printing them in large batches (usually storing them in their basement) and shipping them out to their customers themselves.

But I truly believe without apps like teelaunch the vast majority of those sales would have never have happened and entrepreneurs never would of realized their dreams.

So here's to 2017 where teelaunch and Shopify both achieve their goals together.
