Inspired

This past weekend I had the privilege to attend the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park.  As a professional in the field of youth & human services, and education I was inspired by the messages being shared.  This is such an important time to be part of a movement to achieve the Global Goals. The Global Goals hope to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality & injustice. Fix climate change. The Global Goals for sustainable development could get these things done if we all participate in helping to make it happen.  The messages came from so many different people and places from around the world, but to share the lawn at Central Park with 76,000 people was truly inspiring.  I was specifically inspired by the performance of Redemption Song by Eddie Vedder and Be'yonce.  We listened to the amazing performance combined with the words of Mandela ""Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom. Of course the task will not be easy. But not to do this would be a crime against humanity, against which I ask all humanity now to rise up." Now it is time for our generation to rise up and be inspired to take action and be a participant to help achieve the Global Goals!
