"I am a woman, and women are not weak." — Wonder Woman
This quote from Wonder Woman serves as a reminder that strength comes in many forms, and that being a strong woman doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your femininity. It means standing up for what you believe in, helping others, and facing your fears with courage and grace.
As a kid, Wonder Woman was one of my heroes. I was inspired by her lasso of truth that compelled people to speak the truth and her indestructible bracelets that could deflect any attack (which I secretly wished I had as I was almost kidnapped at the age of nine — this is a story for another day). And the fact that she was Superman's equal, made her even more appealing to me.?
But it wasn't just her physical abilities that made her a hero. It was her commitment to justice and her unwavering desire to help others. Wonder Woman showed me that women could be powerful and use their strength and abilities to make a difference in the world.?
And she's not the only one. Today, countless women are making a difference in the world, breaking down barriers, and challenging the status quo.

This International Women's Day, we celebrate these women and their achievements and #EmbraceEquity.?
As someone who loves TikTok, I've seen so many women using the platform to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit. It's inspiring to see some of these women staying up until the wee hours of the morning to engage with potential customers (yeah, guilty of staying up late too). What's amazing is that many of these women are doing this after a long day of caring for their families and other responsibilities. They are true examples of resilience, pushing through exhaustion to pursue their dreams. Their dedication and hard work are admirable and a reminder that women are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to.
Countless women are making a difference in their communities by starting their own businesses, volunteering their time, or being role models and mentors for others. Women are making a difference every single day, but we still have so much work to do. We need to continue to challenge gender bias and inequality, and work together to create a more inclusive and equal world.
So let's celebrate International Women's Day by honouring the women who are making a difference in the world, and by committing to do our part to help create a more equal and inclusive future.?
As Wonder Woman herself once said, "Athena's fighting alongside us, and we have nothing to fear."
