SAVED TO SERVE (1) THE FOUNDATION
We are starting a series this morning that will truly bless and refresh everyone who desires a closer walk with God. We are saved to serve. Salvation, genuine blood-bought regeneration brings a thirst for serving God in whatever ways we can find. If you're saved and have no desire to serve God or His people, we need to go back and properly check the quality of that salvation.
"For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,"
Acts 27:23
Let's start with Apostle Paul's concept here:
'Whose I am'
By salvation, we become 'owned' by God. To understand this concept we need to remember what it means to be a sinner. A sinner is anyone who has not given his/her life to the Lorde Jesus Christ that is he/she is still 'self-directed,'in-charge' of his/her life.
"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"
Eph 2:1,2

Help me Lord to be an inspiration to others who need it, an encouragement to the wearied and tired, a strength to the weak and give me always, words of comfort for the afflicted.
