Insomnia In Women

Insomnia In Women

Women, by their very makeup are often sensitive, emotional and intuitive. While this can be a blessing, when left unhandled it often results in over concern about people, situations or outcomes.

Irrespective of whether they are professional or home makers, worry and anxiety often become a norm, leading to chronic sleeplessness.

Like with all upsets, we believe that the root of the issue is always within us, and the events perceived to cause them are just the triggers.?

There could be variety of triggers:??

- A child who's just flown the nest.

- A child who's often out late in the night.

- A sense of rejection in a relationship.

- A sense of being either a burden.

- A sense of not being present enough for the family.

- Trouble between other members of a family.

- Financial troubles in the family

- Unpleasant interactions in the professional arena

- Memories of trauma and abuse.

While usually we focus only on the issue within, Sometimes The Particular Triggers Need To Be Resolved Before The Root Is Tackled.?

While at the root the same processes and techniques are used for self work, solving the triggers require specific solutions like Bach Flower Remedies which are very useful to heal emotional imbalances that we all suffer from.?

They are chosen by a practitioner based on the personality type as well as the specific trigger and situation in life.

An easily available Bach remedy is a great support. Some simple EFT tapping scripts could also help release specific stressors.?Here's two of my favorite resources: 1 and 2.

Other generic solutions that could support sleep are:

- Certain acupuncture points on the body also relieve anxiety and support sleep.

- Simple soft music often helps soothe nerves and put you to sleep.

- Herbal remedies like Ashvagandha and Tagara are usually a very good support.

- Melatonin pills are the last line of defense that you can use without taking support from anyone else.?

If all of these don't work then you need a practitioner who will evaluate and look into specific issues.?

Once we have tackled the specific triggers, we move on and work on the root cause of the issue. Otherwise if we don’t work on the root cause, we will usually just end up increasing dosages. Hoping the remedies above work forever is impractical. Like all external interventions (like pills, mostly) they have a limited purpose and beyond that they become useless.?

Working on the core patterns like:

  • fear of loss of loved ones.
  • fear of rejection
  • fear of being replaced
  • fear of being embarrassed or insulted
  • fear of not being enough
  • fear of being blamed etc.

is essential to really come to a place where sleep is effortless and refreshing.

Like all issues, these too have to be worked on any or all the different levels, energetic (chakras & meridian etc), emotional (EFT, Emotrance etc), mental or conscious (psychotherapy), subconscious (NLP, hypnosis etc) and sometimes even supposedly woo woo (PLR, Cord cutting, Soul retrieval etc).
