INSOFE-Case Western Reserve University Launch Dual Specialization Masters Programs

February was truly a transformative month at INSOFE. We now offer the widest range of programs in Data Science. The 3 Masters programs with Case Western are the latest additions and are very unique and exciting.
INSOFE always believed that Data Science is not a specialization of computer science but a tool kit to solve problems in any domain. This approach has a particular significance in Engineering.
Any engineering domain now has two ways of solving challenging problems: The phenomenological approaches they teach in the traditional courses and data science way that is becoming prominent now a days. INSOFE and Case Western Reserve University together decided to create a new generation of engineers that can use both these tools equally efficiently to solve much more complex problems. As a first step we launched three programs
- M.S in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Digital Health Analytics
- M.S in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in AI and Robotics
- M.S in Environmental Engineering with a specialization in AI and Machine Learning
Any engineer from any discipline can take up any of these programs. Yes. a lot of care is taken to design these programs such that the foundational engineering principles and mathematical exposure are what the student needs to do these programs. The specialization is B.E is not important. So, if an electronics and communications student wants to explore and make a mark in biomedical field, we are fine. If a chemical engineers loves robots, viola! If a computer scientist wants to contribute to better environment, even better!! So, for once, students can pursue their passion to choose what they want to do and not necessarily the previous transcripts.
The structure is simple. Student takes 12 credits of data science courses and 3 credits of filed+data science connection courses at INSOFE. Then they fly to Case Western University in Cleveland, USA and complete the other 15 credits to get a full fledged accredited M.S degree from Case Western.
There are many advantages (up to 3 years OPT), fee waivers, test waivers etc. described at https://www.insofe.edu.in/certification/cwru-masters-programs.html. Please feel free to peruse.
But, most importantly, this is one of its kind world class program for engineers who are interested in core and are excited about AI. It is extremely competitive and world class. If you are excited about solving challenging problems in your core discipline using AI strategies, get in touch with us. We are looking for high quality students who are passionate about new age engineering education.
A few words about our illustrious partner Case Western University
- It is a top 20 private university (along with a few more familiar names like Stanford, MIT, CMU, Harvard, Yale etc.). It is a R1 university (high focus on research) and also a member of Association of American Universities (a prestigious group of 65 of America's most research driven universities (https://www.aau.edu/).
- It has 17 nobel prize winners as its alumni/faculty. In fact, the first American to win a Nobel prize (Prof. Michelson) was a Case member.
- Those who graduate with a Masters degree from these programs will have some cool alumni with whom they share their alma matter! For example, Paul Buchheit (creator of gmail), Donald Knuth (Father of computer programming and author of "The art of programming"), Russo brothers (who directed Avengers infinity war and end game) and Craig Newmark (founder of Craiglist) all graduated from CWRU!!! So, you all have some benchmarks to work against
We are excited to welcome a highly motivated group of engineers to benefit from this wonderful program from two world class institutions.
