Salvation Army Miami Angel Tree Program

This year, we’re honored to have donated over 60 gifts to children in our local community through the The Salvation Army of Miami-Dade County 's Angel Tree Program. We are honored to support such a wonderful initiative and help spread holiday cheer for the 4th consecutive year!

haku Winter Challenges

We had some winter fun with our haku Winter Challenges!

Luisana Batchelder 's "Name That Tune" Challenge had everyone guessing the singer or band from three songs played during lunch. Congrats to the top winners with the most correct answers: Victoria Cantu and Olivia Thaler .

The Step Challenge had us tracking our steps throughout the day, the winner with the most steps was crowned Byron De Paz (also our haku Run Club leader).

Ugly Sweater & Gingerbread House Contest – For this challenge, we broke out our funniest and most outrageous Christmas sweaters, with the title of "Ugly Sweater Champion" going to Andres Viviani . Meanwhile, teams competed to create the best gingerbread house, and the winners of this sweet challenge were Luisana Batchelder and Maria Victoria Rodriguez .

hakuliday Celebration

The haku team came together for our annual “hakuliday” Celebration, a festive occasion to celebrate the season and reflect on a year of achievements. It was a great time to connect, appreciate each other’s hard work, and celebrate the successes that made this year special. Here's to a joyful holiday season and an even brighter year ahead!

Conference Highlights

NonProfit POWER

The haku team had an incredible experience at the NonProfit POWER Conference, where Jaclyn L. , Sabrina Mazza , and Andrew Wilcox, MBA connected with nonprofit leaders, shared insights on innovative fundraising strategies, and learned from industry experts. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the nonprofit community, exchange ideas, and explore how haku can continue to support organizations in their mission to make a positive impact.

The Running Conference

The haku team had an exciting time at Running Industry Alliance (RIA) & The Running Conference (TRC) , where Jaclyn L. , Tiago Kaniak , Sabrina Mazza , and Pedro M Escobar engaged with race directors, event organizers, and industry experts. The team shared valuable insights on enhancing event management and participant engagement, while also learning about the latest trends in the running industry. It was a great opportunity to connect, collaborate, and further our commitment to supporting the endurance event community.

Partner Support

Savannah Bridge Run

Runners enjoyed the exciting challenge of the Savannah Bridge Run, hosted by the Savannah Sports Council, as they raced across the Talmadge Bridge and took in stunning views of the city. The haku team, including Joselyn Jimenez and Sarah Vulcain Appolon , were proud to support this iconic race!

OUC Half Marathon

Participants enjoyed a scenic route through downtown Orlando. The haku team, including Allison Medina, MBA and Melissa Marrero , had a great time supporting this incredible race by Track Shack Events and helping ensure everything from expo to post-race went smoothly!

Surf N Santa

This month, runners took on the festive Surf N Santa race, enjoying a fun and challenging course along the beach. The haku team worked in partnership with J&A Racing Inc to provide support for the event from afar, assisting with logistics, check-in, and more!

Streamlined Member Filtering – Easily identify specific member groups with new smart filters, saving time and enabling targeted list exports for reporting and communication.

Clear Auto-Renewal Transparency – Participants now see upfront auto-renewal details at checkout, on confirmations, and in emails – reducing confusion and support inquiries.

Improved Member Validation – Enhanced login recognition ensures accurate member status during registration, minimizing errors and refund requests while streamlining the process.

Streamlined Youth Registration Enhancements

Waiver Signer Visibility – Administrators can easily see who signed the waiver for a youth participant, with full details in the participant profile for clear compliance.

Guardian Access in Organizer – Quick access to parent or guardian information within the organizer, ensuring accurate and streamlined record-keeping.

Targeted Youth Emails – Registration and account creation emails for youth are now sent directly to the registering adult, reducing confusion.

Seamless Document Upload – Guardians can upload required files for youth participants, ensuring a smooth registration experience and faster processing.

Improved Reporting & Financial Tools

Transfer Amount in Financial Extracts – A new "Transfer Amount" column is now included in both event and product financial extracts, providing clear transaction details for gift card payments.

Smart Filters for Organization Financials – Administrators can now filter transactions by date, amount, category, payment method, and status in the organization financials section, streamlining reporting with export options.

Access Transaction Details in Confirmation Emails – Participants can easily view transaction details by clicking the “View Transaction Details” link in their confirmation emails, simplifying purchase reviews.

Cancel Products Without Refunds – Administrators can cancel unfulfilled products without issuing refunds, returning items to inventory while keeping records accurate and up to date.

Advanced Giving Management

Partner-Controlled Participant Deferrals – Partners now have the ability to defer participants or fundraisers from their accounts, providing greater autonomy and reducing administrative overhead.

Automatic Cancellation of Recurring Donations – Recurring donations to beneficiaries are automatically stopped when the event ends, ensuring charges occur only during active events and eliminating the need for manual intervention.
