Dallas Fed Energy Survey
The latest Dallas Fed Energy Survey reveals promising trends in activity, spending, and market expectations. Industry activity saw a slight uptick, driven by increased D&C capital expenditures, with improved company outlooks and reduced uncertainty.
Spending is projected to rise in 2025, with 57% of respondents anticipating increases, primarily in D&C CAPEX. Crude oil (WTI) is expected to close the year around $71/bbl, while Henry Hub natural gas prices are forecasted to average $3.19/MMBtu by year-end, rising steadily through 2030.
Optimism is growing around permitting times on federal lands, with over 60% of respondents expecting improvements under the new administration, contributing to reduced uncertainty and stronger market confidence. Download our full analysis here
