Leadership Movements This Week

• LIC has named Tablesh Pandey and M. Jagannath as Managing Directors, effective from April 8 and March 13, respectively. Tablesh Pandey is currently working as Executive Director, while Jagannath is a direct recruit officer of LIC. Their appointments to the post have been announced after two Managing Directors, Raj Kumar and BC Patnaik left the company recently.
• Pine Labs has appointed Navin Chandani as the President of its Issuing Business. Navin comes with around three decades of leadership experience and has worked with companies like Visa and American Express. In his most immediate role, he served as the Regional Managing Director for India and South Asia at CRIF, a global fintech specialising in credit & business information, analytics, and open banking.
• Hindustan Unilever Limited has appointed Rohit Jawa as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 27, 2023. Jawa succeeds Sanjiv Mehta, who will retire after a transformational tenure of 10 years at the helm of HUL. He will also take over as President, Unilever South Asia and join the Unilever Leadership Executive, effective April 1, 2023. Jawa started his career with HUL as a management trainee in 1988 and has a proven track record of sustained business results across - India, South East Asia, and North Asia.
• Tech Mahindra has appointed Mohit Joshi as its Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer. Joshi will replace CP Gurnani, Tech Mahindra’s current CEO and MD, who is set to retire on December 19, 2023. Joshi has over two decades of experience in the enterprise technology software and consulting space and has worked with the largest corporations in the world in driving digital transformation and building thriving businesses.
• HR tech solutions company HONO has appointed Virender Aggarwal as Global Advisor and Board Member for APAC and Amit Khanna as Director, Southeast Asia. Aggarwal brings along more than 35 years of technology leadership experience, as CEO of leading SaaS and ERP companies, with deep expertise in being a change catalyst in the area of payroll management, HCM and conversational HRMS. Khanna brings along over 25 years of experience in various leadership roles including Managing Director at Phoenix Advisors and Amaya Ventures and as CEO of InterGlobe Real Estate among others.
