- Google has hired Shailesh Prakash as the General Manager of its news division. He will be joining the company in November 2022. Prakash was working as the chief information officer at Washington Post, where he led the news publisher's design, product and tech teams for over a decade. Prior to The Washington Post, he was associated with Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Motorola and a few other brands.?
- IDBI Bank has re-appointed Shri Samuel Joseph Jebaraj as its Deputy Managing Director for 3 years, effective September 20. The decision was taken by the board of directors. It is reported that Jebaraj is not debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any SEBI order or any other such authority.
- Apex Group has hired Akshay Thakurdesai as the Country Head of India, effective September. Thakurdesai brings more than 18 years of experience in securities services and global markets business lines with exposure to working in Europe and APAC. Prior to Apex Group, he was associated with PNB Paribas, where he spent more than 13 years. In his most recent role, he served as Head of Securities Services in India.
- Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems India has appointed Hiroshi Furuta as the Chairman and Managing Director. Furuta holds extensive experience of over 25 years in the energy transmission & distribution industry, centred on design and system engineering, especially for high-voltage equipment for power & substation systems.
- Lentra, a digital lending cloud platform, appointed Haribandhu Patra and Bhuvaneswar Naik as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Human Resource Officer, respectively. Patra brings more than two decades of experience in leading finance teams at several global financial technology organisations. In his previous role, he spent 10 years as the CFO and COO of Fiserv India, where he focused on functional areas of finance, taxation, legal and general administration. Naik holds over 25 years of experience in managing human resource functions at leading global technology organisations and brings deep expertise in building dynamic workplace cultures and global talent management programmes. He has held global leadership roles at various international organisations, such as SAP, Capgemini, and Yahoo.
