  • Procter & Gamble has appointed Bala Purushothaman as the new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective January 1, 2023. Bala Purushothaman will succeed Tracey Grabowski, who will retire at the end of the year after serving more than 33 years at P&G. Bala started as an intern in human resources at P&G more than 30 years ago. He has held positions of increasing responsibility at the country, region and global levels, while living and working across North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Dentsu has appointed Unmesh Pawar as Chief People Officer for India and South Asia. In his new role, he will be responsible for building distinctive talent expertise across the Indian and South Asia markets. In his career of over 25 years, Unmesh has also worked with companies like KPMG India, and Accenture, among others. Before joining Dentsu, he was an advisor, mentor and angel investor at Neev Angels, founded by him.
  • Genesys has announced the appointment of Deepa Madhavan as the India country head. With a career spanning 25 years leading global engineering and product teams, she will manage, support, and grow the company’s R&D centre, located in Chennai, the second-largest facility of its kind for Genesys globally. She joins Genesys from PayPal, where she served as senior director for 13 years and led its multi-cloud enabled privacy and security platform, which used machine learning to identify customer data.
  • Citibank Malaysia has appointed Tooba Modassir as its Chief Human Resources Officer. She will be based in Kuala Lumpur. Tooba, who has been working with Citibank for over 14 years, started working with the company in October 2008 as HR Business Partner-Consumer Banking. She is skilled in HR business partnering, performance and talent management, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, leadership training, and talent acquisition.
  • DHL Supply Chain has appointed Mihaela Isac as its Chief Information Officer for Asia Pacific. Mihaela joined the DPDHL Group in 2011 as part of DHL Consulting in Bonn, Germany. She was most recently Vice President of IT life sciences and healthcare in North America, where she was responsible for enhancing the organisation's IT offering in transportation and warehousing in the life sciences sector.?
