Lessons on Innovation to Impact: At NextMed Health 2023, Dr. Dave Albert shared his journey, which began at Duke University when a personal family health challenge sparked his unexpected path as an inventor. One of his early breakthroughs was a wrist-based heart monitor, which paved the way for more advanced inventions and innovations?like the smartphone-case ECG device he invented. This led to founding AliveCor in 2011, which has grown to serve millions of users, capturing over a million ECGs each week. Dr. Albert attributes his company's success to three key pillars: clinical validation, ongoing research, and relentless innovation. He also underscored the critical role of economic innovation in healthcare, showcasing how AliveCor’s technology has reduced emergency visits and improved patient outcomes.

Mind-blowing: Upload a document and get a?GPT Generated Podcast. ? It's getting harder to be impressed in our GPT-infused age, but last week, my mind was officially blown... Google's?NotebookLM's new AI-generated podcast feature is simply stunning. I?uploaded this overview deck about NextMed Health 2024, and NotebookLM generated this 7-minute podcast between two 'hosts', that really synthesized the core content in smart, conversational style. The entire audio podcast is linked below (with some added photos -- turn on the sound in the video). See if you can find a minor, but funny error.? NotebookLM is billed as a "Personalized AI research assistant." You can upload any PDF, website?or document— a scientific paper for example, and read a synthesized briefing or listen to a summary.
