“In bankruptcy, we’re seeing companies use their brand assets when raising debtor in possession (“DIP”) financing. Outside of the bankruptcy process, we are also seeing more and more companies leverage brands and other IP assets to access capital. Where we’re seeing customer lists come into play is when [companies] go into complete bankruptcy and that is the value of the brand,” notes Mr. Campanella.
