Insights from IT Nation Connect 2024: A Covenant Perspective

This year’s The IT Nation Connect in Orlando, Florida, brought together an energetic community of Managed Service Providers (MSPs), thought leaders and vendors committed to advancing the tech landscape. I had the privilege of representing Covenant Technology Solutions, Inc. both the panel and in several break-out sessions, bringing valuable insights and connections back to our team.

Bringing CMMC to the Forefront

As a panel member for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (#CMMC) session, I had the opportunity to introduce MSPs to the nuances of CMMC requirements. Engaging in an open dialogue with MSPs about their compliance challenges proved incredibly fruitful. I was grateful to connect with potential partners eager to improve their cybersecurity practices, and I’m excited to bring these new perspectives to Covenant Global.

In-Session Insights and Industry Networking

Throughout the event, I was called upon to share expertise in multiple sessions. Being featured as an expert allowed me to discuss the long-term value of CMMC compliance and provide details on various security frameworks. These exchanges underscore the importance of staying actively engaged with evolving standards, and it was an honor to be introduced as part of The Tech Degenerates (TTD), a dedicated community driving positive change in the MSP sector.

Unforgettable Connections and Conversations

Outside of the sessions, the connections continued to deepen. I had the pleasure of meeting leaders like Chris Johnson from CompTIA, who provided insights on the evolving role of Trustmark in MSP compliance, and engaging with top executives from Threatlocker and other security solution providers. Each conversation illuminated the growing importance of cybersecurity and highlighted how our work at Covenant aligns with broader industry trends.

The IT Nation Connect was more than a conference; it was a reminder of the power of connection and shared knowledge in strengthening the security of businesses everywhere.
