Vinay Raman, the CEO of?CAARMO, Business coach, and podcast host of?Business Blind Spots Exposed, was invited to speak at this event. He is in the data analytics and leadership space. His current company CAARMO is a platform that encourages business leaders to take action by using their existing business data to empower all to ultimate effectiveness.

During The Exchange, emphasis was placed on creating new ways of thinking and shifting our focus from efficiency to effectiveness. The idea is to be more effective by doing better through data. Data allows you to understand your expertise, patterns, and risks, thus changing your conversations to ones that make an advance forward in the process, as opposed to making more efficient an existing pattern.

According to the graph above, Client 11's operations are successful in handling annual approvals, crisis management, data backups, and emergency procedures. Budget establishment and building evacuation are two areas where the company is moderately effective. The company is marginally effective in education programs, IT recovery, management awareness, manual workarounds, and quick recovery. This company's annual testing, business recovery, and dedicated employees are ineffective. Based on this graph, the client can begin addressing these three areas of ineffectiveness to become more productive in their operations.?

Utilizing data helps you as a business leader identify behaviors that will lead to more informed choices thus preventing ineffective behaviors. By analyzing data like employee satisfaction, turnover rates, and exit interviews, you can identify themes causing employees to leave and improve your retention rates.

In addition to the various graphs, it is also essential to remember that having data is separate from acting appropriately. Your perception of the data might not necessarily be the reality, so it is crucial to fully understand the stories behind your data to make the appropriate decisions.
