As the season transition begins, it is crucial to keep your mind and body healthy.

October was dedicated to breast cancer awareness and November ushers in men’s health awareness. However, irrespective of the month, remember to make your health and well-being a priority. Presenting to you the October updates – the month was dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer. We hosted various events and activities spearheading the discussion on the importance of regular screening and early diagnosis. Together, with other like-minded people, we hope to continue the conversation around the condition and raise #HopewithFUH. Our care provision is focused on three strong pillars - Smart Healthcare, Healing Environment, and an Academic Driven Approach. #HopewithFUH - A FUH initiative towards raising awareness about breast cancer

As part of our ongoing efforts towards raising awareness about the importance of regular screening and early diagnosis, we initiated various activities as part of the #HopewithFUH breast cancer awareness campaign.

We started October with our team of Breast Care and Oncology experts sharing messages of hope for those undergoing breast cancer treatment or?diagnosed with the condition.

Throughout the month, in collaboration with an NGO - Arab Women Authority - we empowered over 160 women through breast cancer examinations, teaching them the importance of self-assessment.

Harnessing the power of cinema to initiate conversation about breast cancer, we hosted a movie screening of the film – Dear Mamma, bringing together like-minded people who shared a common goal of raising awareness. A heartwarming session, indeed, patients Treated by FUH Breast Care experts graced the event with their presence and shared their inspiring stories of strength and resilience.

Through these efforts and more, we continue to remain committed to bringing a change in the health statistics of breast cancer in the region.

Leveraging the potential of healthcare technology?at GITEX 2023

With the aim to elevate UAE's healthcare standards whilst harnessing the potential of healthcare technology, we participated at the GITEX GLOBAL 2023, in partnership with Dubai Silicon Oasis.

We consistently strengthen and maintain our position as leaders in technological proficiency, through the adoption of technologies that enhance patient convenience. A testament to this was the prominent display of our drone and #FUHbot, a fully functional medication delivery service we take great pride in.

FUH hosts?Lymphedema CME to promote healthcare academics?

Academics is one of our foundational pillars and we remain steadfast and focused towards fostering learning and teaching as part of our academic initiatives. As a university hospital, we regularly host CMEs with the aim of enhancing healthcare expertise in the region.

A joint effort of FUH's Academic and Training Affairs and the Physiotherapy Department, FUH hosted a workshop on Lymphedema & its Management, drawing attendance from over 40 physiotherapy professionals.

Our participation was particularly distinguished by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports. We extend our profound gratitude to His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of DHA and Dr. Marwan Al Mulla, CEO of DHA Regulations Sector for recognizing our efforts.
