? Ask detailed questions about his/her background and verify them, ask about the domestic activities and child care abilities.
? Also, give the domestic staff a chance to meet your child(ren) and watch how he/she interacts with them. Take close note of how the children interact back. Is the domestic staff comfortable and acting natural? What is the child’s response? If they are old enough, ask them for their opinion.
? In all, do not be overbearing, rather, trust your instincts. If you feel the domestic staff is not perfect for your family, stop all negotiations. But if he/she seems to be a good one, then move on with the negotiations.
