Al AIN CEMENT DECARBONIZATION STRATEGY

In our ongoing partnership with Emirates Steel Arkan - EMSTEEL at its Al Ain Cement Factory, we aimed to develop a comprehensive five-year business plan based on robust market projections, focusing on enhancing operational excellence and digital maturity to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and manage stocks amidst a diversified product portfolio and decarbonization initiatives. Detailed CAPEX and ROI management aligned the plan with ambitious decarbonization targets set by the SBTi 1.5 Degree 2030 pathway, ensuring sustainable growth and strategic resilience.

EPAP CEMENT SECTOR ANALYSIS

In a recent collaboration with the Egyptian Pollution Abatement Program (EPAP3) , focused on decarbonization opportunities within the cement sector, aligning with the economic capabilities and circularity goals, we emphasized maximizing waste as alternative fuels. We also explored local materials as SCMs, promoting sustainability and reducing carbon footprints. Tailoring our approach to feasible technologies, we ensured recommendations are both environmentally impactful and economically viable, fostering sustainability aligned with national goals. YAMAMA CEMENT'S DIGITAL MATURITY ROADMAP

Our project with Yamama Cement Company in Saudi Arabia aimed to develop a comprehensive digital maturity roadmap through a detailed audit of current capabilities. We focused on operational excellence requirements optimizing CAPEX, while enhancing data inception, orchestration, and integration. This approach streamlined operational efficiency and sustainability strategies, fostering a seamless digital ecosystem aligned with long-term goals. This initiative empowered Yamama Cement to leverage technology effectively, driving innovation and competitiveness in the dynamic Saudi market.

ARABIAN CEMENT'S DECARBONIZATION ROADMAP

Our project with Arabian Cement Company in Egypt, supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ( EBRD ), focused on a comprehensive decarbonization roadmap. This initiative aimed to achieve ambitious decarbonization goals with minimal CAPEX, maximizing cost reductions and ROI. We integrated advanced industrial decarbonization technologies aligned with the SBTi 1.5 Degree pathway by 2030 and NetZero by 2050. This strategic approach enhances operational efficiency and sustainability practices in Egypt's cement industry.
