Insight of using data for predictive analysis to understand staff behavior
Humans are creatures of habits. The frequency – the number of times, the individual has exhibit a behavior, an individual making a sales purchase, commit a crime or fall sick, often review the likelihood of the event happening in the future. With sufficient data analytics, we can better understand why employees behave the way they do in their working environment.
Predictive analytics will require dozens or predictors to give the analytical machine everything they need to know about the individual.
These are a few trivial individual predictors that can predict staff behavior
1) Research has showed that staff with good financial credit ratings are people who manage their personal finances responsibly. They tend to manage important aspects of their job with the same level of responsibility.
2) The personal shopping habits of staff are also behavioral traits that can indicate their attitude and philosophy of life. If their spending habits are on medical reviews, dental check-ups, environmental friendly products, protective pads to personal issued company tools, it may indicate they are more conservative, responsible citizens or a well-planned life style. It may also indicate they are more attentive to their customer’s needs.
3) Having hobbies is a good measure of his learning orientation that drives him to improve his skills and competency independent of external influences
Time and time again that the best predictive models for future job performance combine various predictors, such as IQ tests, structured interviews, and personality tests together.
