Today more than ever, companies are realizing the value of diversity in the workplace. But harmony has long been the key to Insight's inclusive culture. We've clearly seen that when teammates from diverse backgrounds apply their unique viewpoints and skillsets toward our collective goals, we are more innovative and successful.
For the first time, Forbes is recognizing Insight on their list of best employers for diversity in America. The fourth annual list ranks 500 employers, and Insight placed at No. 140 on this year's list. Of the five Arizona companies that landed on the list, Insight ranked the highest, and of the 25 IT companies making the list, Insight is among the top 10.
To earn this honor, our teammates identified Insight as a company where equality exists regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation. Surveyed respondents belonging to minority groups were further asked to nominate organizations based on the same criteria. Consideration was also made for a diverse board and executive leadership, and proactive diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Our work to ensure teammates feel included never stops. Through our Teammate Resource Groups, we're driving awareness around equity and enabling allyship. Overall, our diversity and inclusion initiative is also focused on supplier diversity and the recruitment of diverse teammates.
While this is not Insight's first award for our culture of inclusion, it demonstrates that Insight is increasingly becoming well-known as an employer of choice for America's top talent. Thank you to our teammates for making Insight a great place to work by showing harmony, and all our values, every day.
