Unlocking the Value: Strategies to Measure and Showcase Your In-House Creative Team's ROI

Earlier this month we had the pleasure of hosting a how-to event focussing on how in-house creative teams can measure and communicate their value. Led by Inside Out? Community Advisor Tabitha Winter, this session took a deep dive into what should be measured, the importance of data storytelling, and using data insight to drive improvements.

Here are a few session takeaways:?

?? It is essential to ensure that the metric you choose aligns with both the organisational and team objectives. By gathering meaningful metrics, it should inform your decision making and guide your strategies going forward.?

?? Tabitha presented three different data sets that should be considered:

  • Organisational data such as cost savings, effective use of allocated budget, and ROI - measuring financial returns from creative projects / team costs.
  • Performance data such as lead time per project, nimbleness and speed to market, and quality of briefs to sentiment surveys.
  • Impact data?can be anything from campaign effectiveness, brand awareness metrics to customer engagement rates or sales conversation attribution.

?? Conducting a thorough impact analysis not only helps you show the value of your creative work but also positions your in-house team as a strategic partner with the organisation. By quantifying your contributions, you can advocate for our team and drive positive change.

Leading from the Inside Out?- A leadership course tailored especially for in-house creatives

We have partnered with Inside Out? Advisor and leadership expert Gillian Davis to create a bespoke leadership program especially for in-house creatives. While it includes essential elements of self-awareness and authentic leadership, it goes further to ensure these skills are applied in the context of your business environment, understanding the strategy, marketplace, and priorities.

  • The course is entirely online and delivered over 16 weeks
  • All 8 modules will be covered during 2-hour structured sessions
  • Time commitment per week: 3 hours
  • The course will run in?Q1/Q2 2025
